According to history, Lesvos the grandson of Aeolos and then leader of the Aeolians fell head over heals in love with the sister of a powerful trader whom he later married. When eventually coming to power he named this island 'Lesvos' and his favourite location after his revered brother-in-law 'Eressos'.
Today, Eressos is home to the Aeolian Village hotel, a four star luxury haven built into the landscape and surrounding hills of Skala Eressos. The unique and quite extraordinary holiday complex is built in the architectural style of an Aegean village and is set in extensive landscaped grounds just a few meters from the famous beach.
This hotel offers high standard accommodation giving the single tourist and families alike, the opportunity to combine luxury and comfort whilst enjoying the village traditions of Skala Eressos just a 15 minute walk away.
Facilities at the hotel include just about everything a guest could need. A large outdoor swimming pool with extensive sun terraces, sun beds and shades when required as well as a children's pool close by. The hotel also offers superb individual and family accommodation away from the main complex. Studio bungalows are suited to 2-3 persons who need more space than a traditional hotel room offers. Family bungalows are suited for 2- 4 persons but have the added advantage of separate bedroom with twin beds and large living/dining room.

The food here is excellent and the hotel serves buffet style lunches and evening meals as well as a full a la carte menu of traditional Greek and European foods.
