CAPTAINS HOUSE
The Captains House is a traditional Greek country house located 800m from the centre of Skala Eressos, the beach, shops & restaurants. This is an ideal place to relax away from just about everything.
The house is set in it's own grounds and has views of the surrounding countryside. The property is owned by a former ship's captain, hence the name, and has been renovated to high standard to offer modern facilities and decoration.
A private gate leads to the grounds of the house, easily accessible by car and completely away from the holiday crowds. A large covered veranda provides shade during the day and there is the added bonus of a small B B Q unit, so if you want to buy local fish or vegetables and grill them for dinner whilst sitting and admiring the view with a glass of wine, then this is the place for you.
The interior offers the following. A door leads into the spacious kitchen/diner with fitted cupboards, an oven and fridge. Three stone steps lead up to the light and airy lounge with it's natural wooden roof and large fireplace.
Traditional wooden seating units and a dining table provide extra comfort, making the Captains house a perfect place for you to unwind in complete privacy.
A further door leads to the external veranda. The fully tiled bathroom and lobby is also located on the ground floor.
Wooden stairs lead from the lounge area up to the double bedroom with natural wooden floor and roof.
There is a double bed and wardrobe space. Two windows offer superb views to the surrounding countryside and great ventilation for those warm summer nights.
The house sleeps two persons. The property is 800m or a 20 minute stroll (and we do mean stroll) on a flat tarmac road from the village of Skala Eressos, the beach and the many bars.
