Crete
is too big and multi-dimensional to breeze in and out. There is lots to see on Crete, and a lot not to see. While the mountain villages and coastal towns on the eastern and western tips of the island have retained their traditions and beauty, towns like Malia, Agias Nikolaos and most of the beach towns in northern Crete have been over-run by package tours..

Delos
is an incredible island and a must-see if you're visiting the Cyclades. You can't stay on the island, but you can take day trips from Mykonos, Naxos and Paros...
Mykonos Expensive, decadent, and fun for gays, staight people and familes too. Intense nightlife with clubs that never stop. If you can't handle it there are frequent boats to escape to other less wild islands. For a little culture there are trips to the uninhabited ancient island of Delos. Plenty of excellent if not crowded beaches but people don't come to Mykonos to escape but to party and people-watch. Bring money and credit cards...

Naxos is the largest island in the Cyclades, home to the tallest mountain, Mount Zeus (1,010 m). In the most popular island chain for tourists, Naxos is relatively quiet, quaint, and charming. You'll feel so at home in Naxos, you may never want to leave...
Paros
is the island for every man. Rich and poor, from the most culturally aware to the most hedonistic bimbos and jocks, from hippy to computer nerd and from foreigners to Greeks, they all come to Paros in the summertime. One reason is just about every ferry stops here, but some people do not want to leave...
Santorini is the number one destination for travel in the Greek Islands. Santorini is majestic and romantic. The views over the caldera are absolutely magnificent, so if you're going to splurge anywhere in Greece, this is the place to get yourself a room with a view. Oia is a lovely choice if you're looking for a less touristy option...
