From the airport, a taxi to town costs about 1,500 drachma or you can take the local buses headed to Agia Anna or Prokopios.Ferries arrive in Chora, (Naxos Town). Naxos has several daily connections with Piraeus, Rafina, and other islands in the Cyclades. The ferry ride from Pireaus takes about six hours for 5,000 drachma. Mykonos, Ios, Paros and Santorini are close by, with regular daily ferry service. Less frequently, there are ferries to and from Amorgos, Folegandros, Sikinos, Samos, Rhodes, Iraklio (Crete), Syros, Skiathos and Thessaloniki. Hydrofoils operate daily between Ios, Santorini, Paros, Mykonos and Tinos. And less frequently to Rafina, and Syros. |
