The Hotel Stavros is right on the Kamares waterfront with balconies that give a view of the entire bay. Downstairs is a cafe that serves breakfast in the morning, sandwiches and Ice-cream all day, and ouzo and beer anytime. There is an un-official information center in the hotel lobby where Stavros will tell you when the ferries arrive and depart, how to make connections to other islands and even book a room for when you get there. He also rents cars and jeeps, the best way to see the island. The outstanding attractions of Sifnos include terraced olive groves, beautiful sandy beaches and traditional Cycladic architecture. The island is famous for its high standard of cuisine. the quality of its locally made ceramics and its 365 churches. Sifnos is also a walkers paradise The port of Kamares is impressively positioned between two mountain ranges. Here you find local potters workshops, pretty waterside restaurants and a friendly relaxing atmosphere. From your balcony you can watch the sunset on the beach and the ships sail in and out of the harbor.

The Hotel Stavros is situated in the center of the village of Kamares. This older hotel contains 14 simple rooms with private bathroom and balcony. Hotel Stavros is positioned 20 metres from the sea and has stunning views of the bay of Kamares. From your balcony you can actually watch your children play in the shallow water or on the sand. At night you can sit on your balcony sipping ouzo and watching the people parade by. If you have a small child you can sit in the cafe beneath your balcony and be able to hear if he wakes up.

The Hotel Kamari is situated in the port of Kamares. This small family run hotel consists of 18 large spacious rooms. Each room contains private bathroom, balcony, refrigerator and telephone. The front rooms all have a view of the sea and the back rooms face the surrounding mountains. Breakfast can be taken on your balcony on on the shady veranda in the front of the hotel. The sandy beach of Kamares is a short 5 minute walk and the sheltered bay makes ideal swimming. There is an excellent choice of restaurants and cafes around the sea front. Eleonas Apartments, Apollonia  The Eleonas Apartments, located in Apollonia, the capital of Sifnos. These five independent houses built in the Cycladic style are positioned in a quiet but central location amongst olive terraces and a small church. Each apartment contains a fully equipped kitchen, living room with sofa beds, bathroom and bedroom and can accomodate 5 people.
Each one has at least two large private verandas all of which have a superb view of the Aegean Sea and the surrounding villages. The Eleonas apartments are within easy walking distance of Apollonia's restaurants, shops and bars. From Apollonia there is frequent bus service to all the beaches of the island.
