ITINERARY :
- DAY 1 : ATHENS
Upon arrival, you will be met by our assistant and transferred to your hotel by our taxi driver. Rest of the day at leisure.
- DAY 2 : ATHENS/HERAKLIO/AGHIOS NIKOLAOS
In the morning you will be transferred to the airport for the flight to Heraklion. On arrival pick up the car at the airport. You may visit the city and the archaeological museum and then start driving towards Aghios Nikolaos. You will pass the resort areas of Hersonissos and Malia, where the third Minoan Palace of the island is located. Overnight in Aghios Nikolaos. (B)
- DAY 3 : AGHIOS NIKOLAOS
Very close to Aghios Nikolaos is the picturesque little village of Elounda where the most luxurious hotels in Greece are located. You can take a ferry to visit Spinalonga island in the Mirabello Bay. You can also head east to visit Sitia and the monastery of Toplou, the palm beach of Vai, the Minoan palace of Kato Zakros and then return via the plateau of Lassithi. Overnight in Aghios Nikolaos. (B)
- DAY 4 : HERAKLIO
You can head south passing Gournia, Ierapetra, Matala and Mires and visit the Festos Palace, Gortys and Knossos Palace till you finally arrive in Heraklion. Overnight in Heraklion. (B)
- DAY 5 : RETHYMNO
Depart in the morning heading west through Aghia Pelaghia, the beautiful little village of Bali, passed the Byzantine monastery of Arkadi, and Anogia, one of the best preserved traditional villages in Greece, before arriving in Rethymnon. You may laze on the beautiful beaches outside the city or take a trip to the magnificent Kournas lake. In the city you should see the museum, the Venetian port and the "Fortezza", the castle. Overnight in Rethymno. (B)
- DAY 6 : CHANIA
In the morning drive southwards to visit the villages of Plakias, Preveli, Aghia Galini and Timbaki. Head towards Chania, passing the long sandy beaches of Georgioupoli. Arrive in Chania, visit the museum and the Venetian port and take a stroll through the old city. Overnight in Chania. (B)
- DAY 7 : CHANIA
Explore the west side of Crete, still unspoiled by mass tourism. Pass through Platanias, Gerani, Maleme, Kolimbari, then down to Kissamos and the magnificent white sandy beach of Falassarna. Continue south for Paleohora and take the opportunity to visit the spectacular Samaria Gorge. Overnight in Chania. (B)
- DAY 8 : CHANIA/ATHENS
Morning free for shopping. Drive to Chania airport for the flight back to Athens. On arrival you will be met by our assistant and transferred to your hotel by our taxi driver. Rest of the day at leisure. (B)
- DAY 9 : ATHENS/AIRPORT
You will be met by our assistant at your hotel and transferred to the airport by our taxi driver for your departure flight. (B)
